I’m known as Die Kampvuur Blondie — a passionate, well-known South African travel blogger and influencer sharing the beauty, freedom, and reality of life on the road. My journey is rooted in adventure, authenticity, and inspiring others to step beyond the ordinary.
In September 2024, my family of four made a life-changing decision: we gave up the comfort of four walls to embrace a full-time travel lifestyle. Since then, we’ve been exploring South Africa and beyond, turning everyday moments into unforgettable experiences and showing others that a different way of living is possible.
My work has been recognized across the industry. I was nominated by Netwerk24 as one of the Top 4 Afrikaans Travel Bloggers in South Africa, and featured in George Herald Magazine, where our story highlighted how we’ve inspired thousands of people to start traveling and rethink their own lifestyles. I will also be interviewed by Bok Radio in Cape Town, further sharing our journey and passion for travel with a wider audience.
Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships within the tourism and events space. I’ve collaborated with multiple tourism companies, attended and covered major events such as the kykNET Buite Expo’s and the KKNK, and have been actively involved in various festivals and braai competitions — often stepping into the role of host and event “gasvrou,” bringing energy and connection to every space I’m part of.
